A concise How-To Guide to the Library Catalogue
Use the web catalogue to search for items in our collection, place holds and reserves, renew your items and access your account history to see what you've had out previously.

ACCESS YOUR ACCOUNT
- Begin by opening the library catalogue
- Click on the Sign In button, located on the top right hand side of the screen.
Password will be your last name all in CAPITALS
- It is recommended that you change your password after initially logging in.
- Enter your search term - author, title, subject.
- Default search is ANYWHERE but you can specify TITLE or AUTHOR or SUBJECT.
- Note: a green box next to an item indicates that it is available for circulation. A red box indicates that the book is already on loan or currently unavailable.
- ENHANCED SEARCH allows for more sophisticated queries by cross-referencing categories.
- VISUAL SEARCH enables you to search for titles by categories which are represented by pictures. Recommended for kids.
RESERVES/HOLDS
- To reserve an item that is currently out, click on the DETAILS link and then click Reserve (a link on the top right side of the Availability information). You will be contacted when the item becomes available and it will be held at the library for you for one week.
- Ensure that the system verifies that your reserve was successful.
- To place a hold on an item that is currently in, click on the DETAILS link, and then click Reserve (a link on the top right side of the Availability information). The item will be held at the library for you for one week.
- To cancel a reservation, click on My Account in the left hand navigation box, and click on CURRENT TRANSACTIONS (one of the links across the top of the screen). Click on the Cancel option that is next to each item in your reserve/hold list.
